Helping Real Students in Real Classrooms
Two classroom interventions were recently developed and implemented by bMRI for students and parents attending three elementary schools in Seoul. One is the BMRI-MCI (Boosting Motivation with Research-based Interventions-Math Confidence Intervention), which aims to improve the math confidence of elementary school students in lower grades, and the other is the BMRI-SVI (Boosting Motivation with Research-based Interventions-Science Value Intervention), which aims to promote the science career interest of elementary school students in upper grades. Research results verifying the effectiveness of these classroom motivation interventions provide valuable scientific evidence for designing subsequent interventions, which represents yet another attempt by bMRI to improve authentic learning situations.
