Dr. Hyun Ji Lee has accepted a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in educational psychology at Hunter College, part of the CUNY system in the city of New York. Her appointment will start in August 2025. She becomes the second bMRI Ph.D. to secure a tenure-track faculty position at a research university aboard, following Dr. Yi Jiang, who is currently a tenured full professor at East China Normal University in Shanghai, China. This achievement is particularly noteworthy given the significant challenges faced by international scholars in securing jobs in the U.S., following the launch of the second Trump administration.
