Drs. Patricia Alexander, Matthew Bernacki, Andreas Hirschi, Lisa Linnenbrink-Garcia, and Allan Wigfield Join bMRI

Dr. Patricia Alexander from the University of Maryland, Dr. Matthew Bernacki from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Dr. Andreas Hirschi from the University of Bern, Dr. Lisa Linnenbrink-Garcia from Michigan State University, and Dr. Allan Wigfield from the University of Maryland (in alphabetical order) have joined the Department of Education and the Brain & Motivation Research Institute of Korea University as K-CLUB Professors. K-CLUB stands for "KU-Collaboration Hub," and it represents a program launched by Korea University in anticipation of its 120th anniversary in 2025. The program aims to strengthen collaborative research networks with distinguished scholars from around the world and address pressing challenges of the future society together by sharing knowledge. By doing so, the University seeks to fulfill its responsibility as a proactive member of the global academic community. Dr. Alexander is a well-known authority in the development of literacy and reading comprehension; Dr. Bernacki is an expert on the use of technology for learning as well as self-regulated learning strategies; Dr. Hirschi specializes in career development and career counseling; Dr. Linnenbrink-Garcia's expertise lies in achievement motivation, particularly motivation in STEM; and Dr. Wigfield  is a renowned expert in the development of motivation during childhood and adolescents. Over the next two years, each professor will engage in diverse and active collaborative research and mentoring activities with the faculty and graduate students of the bMRI. Welcome K-CLUB Professors!
