Hyun Ji Lee of bMRI is a proud recipient of the Paul R. Pintrich Memorial Award for the best graduate-student-authored paper of the 2021 AERA Motivation in Education SIG. She is the third bMRI member to receive this award, following Minhye Lee in 2010 and Dajung Diane Shin in 2020. The title of the paper is “Promoting Children's Math Motivation by Changing Parents' Math Gender Stereotypes and Expectations.” Hyun Ji will be given the award plaque and a check for $500 and will be recognized at the virtual annual meeting of the AERA this April. Congratulations to Hyun Ji on the fine scholarly achievement!
